Every year, 300,000 tons of avocado waste is either burned or placed directly into a landfill without use. The greater part of this waste is from forty American companies that sell guacamole or avocado pulp. Transitions2earth in partnership with AVOPLAST is bringing new technology to the sustainable community by creating plastic from avocado seeds, which can represent 16-20% of the weight of an avocado.
